What lenses do my new glasses come with?
Our Proof 'RX' range of glasses come standard with clear glass lenses, which are ready to be swapped out with your own prescription lenses.
How do the lenses come out?
For the all-wooden pairs, there is an extra screw in either the temple or the bridge, which allows the frame to split open and the lenses to be easily swapped over. For the models with the cotton-based acetate rims, the lenses can simply be popped out and replaced by hand.
Where can I get my new lenses fitted?
All you need to do is take your sweet new glasses down to your local optometrist. They’ll source lenses that meet both your script and the glasses, and fit them for you in no time. Proof Eyewear recommend 'Trivex' lenses.
How much will it cost to get new lenses put in?
The pricing will very, depending on the optometrist and the type of prescription that you have. We have seen pricing from as low as $60.
How long will this all take?
Generally it takes an optometrist 1-3 weeks for everything to be ready for you.
Will I look amazing in my new frames?
Absolutely. That's a 100% guarantee - and we're so confident that you will - we offer free 14 day returns on all frames!
Do the glasses come in a case?
Yes, the Proof RX glasses come in a free wooden glasses case, with a micro fibre cloth.
Do I need to do anything special to maintain wooden frames?
Not really - just look after them like you would any other pair of reading glasses. The wood frames have a protective coating to shield them from water and sweat. When you're not wearing them, we recommend to keep them in their wooden glasses case.
